The following is an awareness commercial I wrote and produced while at the NKF Singapore for their annual charity gala, and the objective was to get people to think more about their kidneys as essential organs which need care and a lifestyle awareness to avoid problems in at risk individuals.

As I don't have a copy of the video anymore, the script follows below the storyboard...

VISUAL: Live human body in medical scan.

SOUND EFFECTS: Squishy sounds of a human body with a heartbeat.

VO: Your Kidneys are amazing organs.

VISUAL: Close in on the kidneys

VO: A healthy kidney is basically a filtering system clearing waste and impurities from the bloodstream. Blood is pumped through them at 1.3 litres a minute, faster than any other organ...

VISUAL:  A shot of the kidney tissue.

VO: Each kidney is made up of about a million filtering units called nephrons. Inside, tiny blood vessels divide until they become so small that they can no longer hold water.

VISUAL:  Slowly zoom in....

VO: As blood passes through the kidneys, it is "cleansed" – harmful waste products and excess fluids are removed, and then passed out of the body as urine.

VISUAL:  Going microscopic now

VO: Unfortunately, more than XXX# of Singaporeans have severe health problems with their kidneys, including infection, kidney stones, cancer, polycystic kidney disease, bladder disorder and acute urinary conditions.

Even worse, thousands of Singaporeans, 8.6%, have diabetic issues and one-third of them don't even know it.
